I see Sun Salutation as one of the "Keys" of Yoga. I love starting the practice with this sequence, you can feel the energy flowing. It’s great as a warm up or as the first exercise early in the morning to focus the mind, start moving the body and give gratitude for another day.

A research published in 2011 at the US National Library of Medicine by Bhutkar et al. showed that the regular practice of Sun Salutation (Suryanamaskar) can be an ideal exercise to keep an excellent health and general body endurance.

The Sun Salutation is composed of 12 poses. Its a cyclical event where each movement will synchronise with the breath.

"Thus sun salutation becomes a kind of activity which involves almost every part of the body and is considered as a complete exercise." (Bhutkar et all, 2011)

There is nothing like starting your days with 5 Sun Salutation A followed by 3 Sun Salutation B.

It will take about 10-15min, depending on how you breath.

Practice this routine 4x week for 4 weeks. You will definitely expirience the positive changes in your mind and body, with only a month of exercise.
